The endurance burning flame arrester model XX-4-IIA-...-K and XX-5-IIA-...-K had been tested in compliance with the International Standard EN ISO 16852:2010.

Tavaliselt tekib negatiivne rõhk seadmete tühjendamisel ning ilma toimel jahenemise tõttu, näiteks intensiivsele päikesekiirgusele järgneva äikesetormi korral.
Positiivne rõhk tekib harilikult seadmete täitmisel ning soojenemisel, näiteks intensiivse päikesekiirguse tõttu. Eriti tugevalt mõjutavad ilmaolud väliskeskkonnas asuvatele maapealsetele mahutitele paigaldatud kaitsekattega leegitõkestite töövõimet. Sellistes keskkonnaoludes kasutatavate mahutite leegitõkestite puhul tuleb üldiselt arvestada plahvatusohtlike ainesegude olemasoluga. Nende süttimisel pakubki kaitset mahuti avale paigaldatud leegitõkesti, mis hoiab ära leegi levimise põlemise ajal. Mahutitele paigaldatavate kaitsekattega süttimis- ja kestvuspõlemisvastaste leegitõkestite omadused on määratletud tüübihindamistõendis. Leegitõkestid pakuvad kaitsed plahvatusohtlike ainete rühma IIA kuuluvate gaaside või toodete auru ja õhu segu süttimisel tekkivate leekide eest. Nende ohutuspilu on suurem kui 0,9 mm ning maksimaalne töötemperatuur 60 °C.
Kestvuspõlemisvastaste leegitõkestite mudeleid XX-4-IIA-...-K ja XX-5-IIA-...-K on testitud rahvusvahelise standardi EN ISO 16852:2010 nõuete kohaselt.
