English to Malay: The meaning of organizational culture General field: Social Sciences
Source text - English Organizational culture has been defined by Furnham and Gunter (1993) as 'the commonly held beliefs, attitudes and values that exist in an organization; put simply, culture is "the way we do things around here"'.
This pattern of values, norms, beliefs, attitudes and assumptions may not have been articulated but will shape the ways in which people behave and things get done. Values refer to what is believed to be important about how people and the organizations behave. Norms are the unwritten rules of behaviour.
The definition emphasizes that organizational culture is concerned with the subjective aspect of what goes on in an organization. It refers to abstractions such as values and norms that pervade the whole or part of a business.
Malay to English: Media markets General field: Social Sciences
Translation - English Latin American media markets are significantly different from those of North America and Europe. Several Latin American countries, such as Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, and Peru have experienced social conflicts since the end of World War II. Some others, on the other hand, continue to be ruled by dictators who have gained military support. As a result, the radio and television industries in these countries are often owned, controlled or closely regulated by the government. In some cases, domestic media conglomerates are controlled by affluent families, such as Televisa in Mexico or Grupo Globo in Brazil. In other Latin American coutries, the print press often allied with political and religious elites.

Source text - Malay "Nin, kau kat mana ni?"
Translation - English "Nin, where are you now?" Najiha examined her wrist watch, while holding the iPhone close to her ear. She was already half-way through with her caramel frappe drink but there was still no sign of Nina. At the other end of the line, Nina grinned guiltily. "Sorry, Ha. I'm looking for a parking spot. It's crazy here." She muttered under her breath. Her hands were firmly on the steering wheel, spinning it around while searching for a free spot to park her Honda Civic. The city was always busy during the holidays, and that day was no different. Najiha had earlier advised Nina against driving, but Nina was not one who would ride on public transport. She would not think of competing with the crowd in the bus, especially since she got her new red car which she fondly called Kimi, after the famed Kimi Raikkonen, the Formula One driver.
