成立于1909年的文冬中华商会，是文冬第一个华人社团组织，由邓少民局绅等先贤创办。
中国清末革命运动领袖孙中山1905年在日本创立同盟会，之后在马来半岛各地设立分会。在文冬的同盟会占有两层楼，楼上是活动中心，楼下是同德书报社。

Dewan Perniagaan Cina Bentong yang didirikan pada tahun 1909 merupakan kesatuan Cina yang pertama di Bentong atas inisiatif JP Tang Siew Mun serta tokoh-tokoh yang lain.
Aktivis revolusi di penghujung zaman Dinasti Qing negara China, Encik Sun Yat-Sen telah mengwujudkan Perhimpunan Aliansi Seikat atau ‘TongMengHui’ di Jepun pada tahun 1905. Bangunan Liga Serikat di Bentong ini mempunyai dua tingkat. Tingkat atas ialah pusat aktiviti dan tingkat bawah pula ialah Tung Tak Newspaper & Agency Co. Ltd.
