Spanish to English: Translation of "Anhelando Iruya" [Longing for Iruya] by Perota Chingo General field: Art/Literary Detailed field: Music
Anhelando verte otra vez
Voy cerrando los ojos
Y me parece verte otra vez
Escondida en la quebrada
Tu capilla te delata
Y un pueblito de repente
Agradezco tus montañas
Tus sonrisas tus mañanas
Y el río grande
Vos pintaste mis pupilas
con colores de la vida
y la humildad de tu gente
y solo cuando el río
deja pasar al que camina
se llega a vos
Voy cerrado los ojos
anhelando verte otra vez
voy cerrando los ojos
Y me parece verte otra vez
Translation - English I don't expect you to recall me
I'm only one of the many that leave
A traveller grateful for the cover of the shelter
You gave him that one time
Hardly asking me anything you showed me your vision
Of a different world
It's your serene step
It's your peace and simplicity
With which you teach to want you
I'm slowly closing my eyes
Longing to see you once again
I'm slowly closing my eyes
And I think I see you once again
Hidden away in the gorge
Your chapel gives you away
And, suddenly, a small town
I thank your mountain
Your smile, your morning
And the large river
You coloured my eyes
With the colours of life
And the modesty of your people
And only when the river
Allows the one who walks to pass
Can they get to you
I'm slowly closing my eyes
longing to see you once again
I'm slowly closing my eyes
And I think I see you once again
Translation - English It is an infectious disease that is spread through the air. It is caused by a type of bacteria called Mycobacterium tuberculosis, known as Koch’s bacillus. It is one of the oldest diseases and affects most underdeveloped countries.
Spread
The TB bacteria is spread through the air. When individuals with an active pulmonary disease cough, sneeze, speak or spit, they release the TB bacilli in the air. Inhaling a few bacilli is enough to be infected. Nevertheless, not all infected persons become ill. The body’s
immune system is capable of killing the TB bacilli or isolating them so they can remain in a latent state for years. TB is not transmitted by sharing cutlery or by contact with saliva.

Bio
I grew up in both Mexico and Canada in a bi-lingual, bi-cultural household so I speak Spanish and English natively. I have a bachelor's in Spanish studies with specializations in Spanish business communication and small business accounting. I also graduated with a 2-year certificate program in translation and I was the project lead for a small translation team to translate a bi-lingual children's story into Spanish for a Costa Rican audience. I offer translation, transcription, and subtitling services in English and Spanish. I am currently training to become a community interpreter as well.
I enjoy Hispanic and classic English literature, narratives studies, food, cultural festivities, and travel. I have a special interest in contributing my translation and subtitling services to topics relating to mental health, personal well-being, and personal empowerment. French is my third language and I hope to add it as a working language by the end of 2021. I also enjoy old-style video games, jujitsu, rock climbing, baking, and sitting by the window, and knitting or crocheting.
