Source text - English LITTLE BOY WITH THE SLING SHOT
Long, long time ago, there lived a brother and a sister. In their summer holidays, Sammy and Marie visited their grandparents at their farm. Sammy took his slingshot to play in the woods. He practiced hard for many days but all his efforts were in vain. No matter how much he tried, he could never hit the target.
In the lunchtime, grandma called out, “Sammy, it’s lunch time!” Getting a little discouraged, he headed back for the lunch. While walking back, Sammy noticed his Grandma’s pet. It was a cute, little duck. Out of excitement he took his slingshot and aimed at the duck. This time, his shot hit the target and it hit the poor duck on its head and killed it. He was shocked and scared at the same time.
In the extreme fright, he hid the dead duck in the pile of woods. Marie, his younger sister had seen it all from the window but she decided not to confront him.
The next day Grandma said, “Marie, let’s wash the dishes.” To this, Marie immediately said, “But Grandma, Sammy told me he wanted to help you in the chores.” As soon as she said this, she turned to Sammy and whispered, “Remember the duck?” Sammy got anxious knowing that his sister knew his secret about the duck. If he would not obey her, she would tell the grandparents about it. So without uttering a single word, he did the dishes.
Later, in the evening, Grandpa asked if the children wanted to go for fishing. On hearing this, Grandma said, “I am sorry but I need Marie to stay with me and help make a supper.” Marie turned to Grandma and said, “Well, that’s all right. Sammy told me he wanted to help you.” She again whispered to Sammy, “Remember the duck?” So Marie went with his grandfather for fishing and poor Sammy had to stay with his Grandma.
After a few days of Marie taking advantage of Sammy, he finally could not stand it any longer. He came to Grandma and confessed that he had killed their pet, duck. Grandma knelt down smiling, gave him a hug and said, “My dear child, I know. I was standing right near the window when it all happened. But because I love you, I forgave you. I was wondering how long you would let Marie take advantage of you.
Sammy apologized to his grandma and hugged her once again. Sammy and Marie had wonderful summer holidays and both of them learned a lot from this trip.

Há muuuuito tempo atrás, vivia um irmão e uma irmã. Em suas férias de verão, Sammy e Marie foram à fazenda de seus avós fazer uma visita. Sammy pegou seu estilingue para brincar no mato. Ele praticou muito por vários dias, mas todos os seus esforcos foram em vão. Não importa o quanto tentasse, nunca conseguia atingir o alvo.
Na hora do almoço, a avó gritou: “Sammy, é hora do almoço!” Meio desanimado, ele voltou para almoçar. Na volta, enquanto caminhava, Sammy notou o bicho de estimação de sua avó. Era um patinho muito fofo. Entusiasmado, ele pegou seu estilingue e mirou no pato. Desta vez seu tiro atingiu o alvo e pegou o pobre pato na cabeça e o matou. Ele estava chocado e apavorado ao mesmo tempo.
No auge do medo, ele escondeu o pato morto em uma pilha de madeiras. Marie, sua irmã menor, tinha visto tudo pela janela, mas decidiu não confrontá-lo.
No dia seguinte, sua avó disse: “Marie, vamos lavar a louça!” ao qual Marie imediatamente respondeu: “Mas vó, o Sammy me disse que queria te ajudar com as tarefas de casa.“Assim que ela falou isso, ela se virou para o Sammy e sussurrou: “Se lembra do pato?” Sammy ficou ansioso ao saber que sua irmã sabia do seu segredo sobre o pato. Se ele não a obedecesse, ela contaria para seus avós. Então sem dizer uma palavra, ele lavou a louça.
Mais tarde, à noIte, o avô perguntou se as crianças queriam ir pescar. Depois de alguns dias da Marie se aproveitando do Sammy, ele finalmente não conseguiu mais aguentar! Ele foi à sua a avó e confessou que tinha matado o pato de estimação deles. A avó se ajoelhou sorrindo, lhe deu um abraço e disse: “Minha querida criança, eu sei.”Eu estava em pé bem ao lado da janela quando tudo aconteceu. Mas porque eu te amo, eu te perdoei. Estava me perguntando quanto tempo você ia deixar a Marie se aproveitar de você…
Sammy se desculpou para sua avó e a abraçou mais uma vez. Sammy e Marie tiveram umas férias de verão maravilhosas e aprenderam um monte nesta viajem.

Quando chegou o momento de várias Termas serem reveladas, grandes Tertons apareceram nesse mundo. Eram capazes de mergulhar em lagos, viajar para locais impossíveis em cavernas e retirar objetos de rochas sólidas.
