Nadja joined the #women in localization association in early 2022. In January 2023 she officially became an education and mentorship manager there. She received her PhD degree in Language studies from #University of Udine in Italy upon successfully accomplishing a huge localization project on transadaptation of a clinical instrument aimed to access speech development in children. Over the last 9 years, Nadja has been involved in various localization projects, first as a freelance translator, then as a manager and a localization engineer. Prior to joining a B2B SAAS company in the Netherlands #Chainels as a localization manager, she was leading a team of data analysts at one of the Google Shopping projects in Poland where she designed a mentoring program for new leads in Tech.
“I grew up in a German-Ukrainian family and if I needed to name a woman who influenced me in my childhood then it would be my Ukrainian grandma Nadja - a holocaust survivor and a woman of strong will. It was her who helped me become bilingual from birth and showed how lack of appropriate education can limit people’s life experiences”.
