Source text - English Who does not have great knowledge about how to produce whiskey can be led to think that there are many differences between Scotch and Irish whiskey. In fact, both are made the same way and using the same methods and materials. However, the fact that they are regions with different characteristics, makes the end result remarkably different.
Irish whiskey is produced based on a very diverse lot of cereals, where the main is the malted barley, contributing with 50%, and the remaining distributed by the normal barley, wheat and rye. A difference between Irish whiskey and Scotch is that the Irish is submitted to a triple distillation during the process, which makes the percentage of alcohol higher. However, whiskey from Ireland must also have a minimum volume of 40% alcohol, to legally have that denomination. The features that have to be respected to make the authentic Irish whiskey are mostly:
Distillation and aging of the liquid must be held in Ireland;
Whiskey aging period in oak bark must have a minimum of 3 years;
The minimum volume of alcohol, as noted above, is 40%.

O Irish whiskey é produzido com base num lote muito diversificado de cereais, sendo o principal a cevada maltada (que contribui com 50%), e os restantes distribuídos por cevada normal, trigo e centeio. Uma diferença entre o Irish whiskey e o Scotch é que o Irlandês é submetido a uma tripla destilação, o que lhe confere um percentual de álcool superior. Ainda assim, para que possa ser legalmente designado como Irish whiskey, este também deve ter um volume mínimo de 40% de álcool. As principais características para produzir um autêntico Irish whiskey são:
Os processos de destilação e envelhecimento têm de ser realizados na Irlanda;
O período de envelhecimento em barris de carvalho deve decorrer ao longo de pelo menos 3 anos;

English to Portuguese: Partial translation of an EU2020 Project
Source text - English The DIALLS project started in May 2018 and was a three-year project funded by the EC’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation fund, within the topic ‘Inclusive, Innovative and Reflective Societies’.
The aims of the project were to teach children in schools from a young age to engage together in discussions where they may have differing viewpoints or perspectives, to enable a growing awareness of their own cultural identities, and to be sensitive not only to their own identities and cultures but also to empathise with those of others.
Our team included: cultural studies and civic education experts, teacher educators, psychologists and literacy specialists from ten universities in nine countries. We have proudly included Israel as an associated country to think beyond geographical borders and consider issues of culture, heritage and identity as they extend beyond merely European concepts. We worked closely with teachers and their classes in seven of the countries.
As part of the project we developed resources for teachers and researchers.
Translation - Portuguese O DIALLS teve início em Maio de 2018 e é um projeto trienal financiado pelo fundo de investigação e inovação Horizon 2020 da CE, no âmbito do tópico “Sociedades Inclusivas, Inovadoras e Reflexivas”.
O DIALLS teve como objetivo ensinar crianças em idade escolar a participar desde cedo em discussões em que possam coexistir diferentes pontos de vista ou perspectivas, permitindo que desenvolvam, aos poucos, consciência das suas próprias identidades culturais e a capacidade de ser sensível não só às suas próprias identidades e culturas, mas também de empatia para com a identidade cultural do outro.
A nossa equipa incluiu: especialistas em estudos culturais e educação cívica, formadores de professores, psicólogos e especialistas em literacia de dez universidades em nove países. Orgulhamo-nos de ter incluído Israel como país associado, para que possamos pensar para além de fronteiras geográficas e considerar questões de cultura, herança e identidade na sua extensão mais ampla para além de conceitos meramente europeus. Trabalhámos de forma bastante próxima com professores e as suas turmas em sete países destes países.
Como parte do projeto, desenvolvemos recursos para professores e investigadores.
