Hello everyone,

I am a French-Brazilian translator, I grew up in France, England, and Brazil. That's how I learned French, English and Portuguese at a young age. I eventually stayed in São Paulo. I went to school there, studying at the local French school where I got my Bac ES (Economics and Social). 

Then, I studied Cinema, and in a twist, got to know translation. I began translating as a side job during college. I got jobs working for documentaries, college presentations, translating for TV. And instead of working with cinema, I chose to stay in translation. 

I fell in love with this job because of its human side, connecting with other people, understanding what they want and helping them get their message across. But also, it opened me a window to the beauty of language per se, of how communication has technical aspects to it and how much technique there is to it. 

It's been 12 years now that I've been working as a translator. I had the opportunity of meeting people from all around the world, from Nepal to Haiti, and working with important organizations such as the UN, Interpol, ISO, art galleries, NGO's, multinationals, colleges. 

I've started studying for a college degree in biology in 2023 so I can specialize as a life science translator. I would like to work more with health and environmental translations. I feel that there is future in these areas and I'm also passionate on this subject.

Today, I can say that it has been an interesting career, one that took me to different parts of my country, Brazil, and gave me the opportunity of meeting a lot of nice people working in a multitude of sectors.
