Denn möglicherweise interessante Ziele sind so weit entfernt, dass eine Bewegung mit Überlichtgeschwindigkeit notwendig erscheint, um sie mit bemannten Flügen zu erreichen bevor die Reisenden sterben. Alle Ideen für eine solche Bewegung scheitern bisher daran, dass sie zu unkontrolliert, zu energieintensiv und nur für sehr kleine Massen möglich wären.
Translation - German The problem of the speed brought up by Guildford (Sauron 167) remains unsolved from a scientific point of view. Possible interesting destinations turn out to be too far away to be reached before the astronauts die. The usage of speed of light seems to be essential for manned space travels. All ideas for such a way of travelling fail up to now because of the fact that the usage of speed of light is not controllable and only accomplishable for very small particles. And it is also uses too much energy.
