Source text - English The term climate change refers to global changes in temperature, wind patterns, and precipitation. These changes are being driven by a gradual warming of the Earth's atmosphere (commonly referred to as global warming). The Earth's climate has been changing slowly over the centuries. Cold periods have alternated with warm periods. However, these changes have been happening at a much faster and devastating rate in recent years. The 1980s and 1990s were the warmest decades on record. Science indicates that this acceleration is due to human activity.

Source text - English Information about Bipolar I Disorder
What is:
Bipolar I disorder is a brain illness that causes extreme
shifts in your mood and energy level. It is also known
as manic-depressive illness. The manic state makes
you feel extra joyful, edgy, or excited. The depressive
state makes you feel very sad. You may even have lots
of energy and feel very sad at the same time. This is
called a mixed state.
You may have bipolar I disorder if you have a number
of manic or depressed feelings for most of the day,
nearly every day, for at least 1 or 2 weeks. If you
have 4 or more bipolar events in 1 year, it is called
rapid cycling.
These shifts in mood and energy levels are not the
same as the normal ups and downs that people have
from time to time. They are much more severe.
There is no cure for bipolar I disorder. But it can
be treated. Over 10 million people in the United
States have bipolar disorder.
What Causes Bipolar I Disorder?
Bipolar I disorder tends to run in families. It may
be set off by stress or a lack of sleep, or there may be
no trigger at all. If you have bipolar I disorder, the
chemicals in your brain are out of balance. This can
make your mood shift.

go to sleep at the same time every night.
The right treatment will help you gain control of
your mood swings and other signs. This is a lifelong
illness, so long-term treatment is needed to keep
your signs under control. Treatment includes:
Medication
Medications are used to control your moods, so
that you do not have such extreme shifts of joy and
sadness. More than 1 may need to be tried before the
best medication (or medications) for you is found.
Medications may cause side effects. You need to work
with your doctor to find the best medications for you.
Do not stop taking your medications unless your
doctor tells you to.
Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy, or “talk” therapy, with a psychologist,
social worker, or counselor can give you support and
guide you, so you can get well. It can help you:
• Understand how to deal with bad thoughts and
control your actions.
• Relate to others better and manage your daily tasks.
• Learn about your illness and how to treat it.
You can learn how to tell when you are showing
signs of the illness, so you can ask for help before
it gets worse.

as peer support groups that can help you cope with
your illness.

mood swings. There is no cure, but it can be treated.
You may need to be treated for the rest of your life.

therapy you need, you will have the best chance of
managing your illness.
Translation - Spanish Información sobre el Trastorno Bipolar I

I provide language solution services in the following pairs: EN-SP, SP-EN, FR-SP
Languages have always been my passion. While I am a native Spanish speaker born and raised in Peru, having lived 6 years of my childhood in the U.S. has strongly contributed in obtaining English proficiency and sharpening my translating skills. I started my translating career quite young (while still in high school) by assisting an English teacher with her freelance activities. She would strongly encourage me to pursue the Translator profession and continue enhancing my linguistic abilities. And so I did. As a high school student, I participated writing and organizing drama plays, most of which were originally translated from old English texts. My fascination for linguistics brought me to study separately both French and English in a more thorough way.
Also, because it was my all-time goal to become a lawyer, I studied the legal career on a parallel basis and obtained my major in Law. (J.D.)
My experience features a wide variety of jobs (including full time positions and freelance work) for several renowned companies around the world in the following fields: art/education, energy/engineering, food/culinary, IT/technology, legal/patents, marketing/advertising, medical/pharmaceutical, science/biology, social sciences.
On a business relationship with my clients, I am most careful to provide a top quality service, accuracy, and excellent timeliness, that is why my labor has always received the best feedback from them.
It is because I am aware of the client's needs and each job's singularity, that my fees vary depending on whether the job comprises translation, review, transcription, and/or proofreading, and also on the complexity and volume of the job as well as the required deadline.
I also welcome those jobs that require long-term commitment and, for that effect, I am more than eager to negotiate fixed rates.
