Translation - English A C/C Composite Material Brake Pad and Manufacturing Method thereof
Abstract
The invention relates to the technical field of a brake pad, and particularly discloses a C/C
composite material brake pad and a manufacturing method of which. The C/C composite material
brake pad is characterized in that substrate material of the brake pad comprises the following
components in percentage by weight: 50%-65% of short carbon fibers, 10%-25% of graphite,
5%-15% of pitches, 5%-10% of copper powder, and 5%-10% of titanium powder. The
manufacturing method has the beneficial effects: on the one hand, a hot-pressing sintering process
is adopted to prepare C/C composite material; with pressurizing and sintering being integrated,
this process is simple. On the other hand, copper and titanium are alloyed during a sintering
process, so that lower sintering temperature is required and friction performance is improved;
titanium powder is added, which reacts with Carbon (C) to generate TiC that helps to increase the
frictional factor; copper powder is well mixed with the composite material to increase cooling rate;
and graphite is added as lubrication component for protecting dual disk and keeping constant
frictional factor. The brake pad produced with this process is characterized by little wear against
the dual disk and constant frictional factor.

Chinese to English: A thesis about LWD instruments General field: Tech/Engineering Detailed field: Petroleum Eng/Sci
Translation - English Deep and ultra-deep reservoirs are important sources of oil and gas resources. However, the electrical circuitry of conventional LWD instruments loses its efficiency and durability, and sometimes even fails to function under high temperatures experienced, which ultimately has a serious impact on smooth exploration and development of deep and ultra-deep oil and gas resources. In this case, the use of a cooling device could make the LWD instrument circuitry more resistant to high temperatures.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the temperature boundary of the circuit housing wall surface of a LWD instrument and then to create a physical model of a LWD instrument equipped with a cooling device.The effect of changing the parameters of the temperature boundary is studied through numerical methods so as to provide a theoretical basis for accurate calculation of the heat transferred from a high-temperature wellbore to the electrical circuitry of an LWD instrument, and in turn for assessing reasonable cooling parameters to be applied to such a device.
