Translation - English Black Fungus, also known as Yun Fungus, is a common edible mushroom. It has a black-brown color, a soft texture, and a delicious taste. Because Black Fungus contains a variety of nutritional ingredients, it is often used in dietary therapy.
The various nutritional ingredients in Black Fungus are mainly carbohydrates and proteins. Black Fungus also contains many minerals and vitamins needed by human body, such as calcium, phosphorous, iron, carotene, vitamin B1, and vitamin B2. Black Fungus contains a large amount of crude fiber, which is good for intestine and stomach. Plus, Black Fungus contains very little fat, making it a suitable food for people with hyperlipidemia.
The effect of Black Fungus was recorded in Compendium of Materia Medica, an encyclopedia of Chinese Medicine written in Ming Dynasty by Li Shizhen. The book says Black Fungus “sweet, neutral, slightly toxic, tonifies qi and alleviates hunger, lightens body and strengthens will.” It can tonify qi, nourish stomach, and strengthen body. Shanghai Traditional Chinese Medicine Dictionary adds that Black Fungus “enters stomach and large intestine channels, cools blood and stops bleeding.” According to Modern Chinese Medicine, in addition to helping digestion via tonifying qi and stomach, Black Fungus can also moisten intestine and unblock bowel, thus suitable for people with constipation. Black Fungus can cool blood and stop bleeding; it has been used for treatment for piles by doctors for many generations. Because the color of Black Fungus is black, Chinese Medicine concludes it tonifies blood and kidney, thus a suitable food for the elderly and vegetarian.
Since 1980s, many countries, such as Japan, Korea, China, Hong Kong and Brazil, have done a great deal of modern research about Black Fungus. After over 30 years’ pharmacological research, scientists find Black Fungus is a very effective anticoagulant, being able to deter platelet-aggregation and the formation of blood clots; regularly eating it can slow down arteriosclerosis, benefiting people with coronary heart disease and cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases a lot. In addition, researchers find Black Fungus can also lower blood fat; it can lower total cholesterol (TC), high density lipoprotein-cholesterol (HDL-C), low density lipoprotein-cholesterol (LDL-C) and triglyceride (TG); thus it is very good for people with hypercholesteremia. Modern research also finds Black Fungus is an antioxidant and can slow down aging. Black Fungus can also lower blood sugar, rendering it beneficial to people with diabetes.
Though there are many benefits in eating Black Fungus, the medicine dictionary records that Black Fungus “is slightly toxic,” so we should be careful about eating Black Fungus regularly. The quality of Black Fungus is very much dependent on the environment of the plantation. What’s more, a minority of people are allergic to Black Fungus, especially to fresh Fungus. So it is generally advisable to eat dried fungus, immerse Black Fungus in water before cooking; the part which remains folded after staying in the water is not suitable for eating. As Black Fungus can moisten intestine, people with watery stool should not eat it for a long time. As Black Fungus has a strong effect of invigorating blood, people with bleeding disorder should not eat too much of it.
English to Chinese: Phishing General field: Tech/Engineering Detailed field: IT (Information Technology)
Source text - English Phishing is simply the process of sending emails to a wide range of recipients, wherein the emails purport to be from some legitimate source and entice the recipient to either supply personal information or follow a link in the email to a website to provide personal information. The most common scenario is that the email will purport to be from a bank or credit card company and inform you there is some problem with your account. You will then be asked to click on a link to login to your account. The link will actually take you to a different website made to look like a legitimate financial institution. Once there, if you do logon, you have just given your username and password to the identity thief.
Let’s take a look at this from the perspective of the criminal perpetrating the crime. In other words, how would an enterprising identity thief go about setting up and executing this sort of scam. The first step is to establish a server to hose the phishing website. Obviously the perpetrator does not want to simply go to their internet service provider and arrange for hosting service. This would make their eventual capture and conviction a foregone conclusion. So how do they setup a web server that cannot be traced back to them? There are primarily two ways this is done. In the first method the perpetrator will use a prepaid visa card to purchase web hosting on a commonly used hosting service, preferably one outside the country he or she will be targeting. The second method is to hack into any server anywhere that has poor security. The perpetrator can then use that server to host his or her phishing website. Should authorities track the phishing scheme back to the server, they will find its owners unwitting accomplices with no knowledge. This second method is actually more common than you might think. There are so many poorly secured servers that it is generally not a particularly difficult task to find one that can be compromised. This is one more reason why a greater awareness of security is critical for all people involved supporting computer networks. It is entirely possible for an unsecured (or inadequately secured) network to be used in the commission of a crime.
The next step is to emulate some financial institutions website. This can be done by visiting the legitimate website for the financial institution and copying as much of the graphics and layout as possible. Then using those pilfered graphics and layouts create a website that emulates the target financial site as closely as possible. The critical part is how to handle user logins. Since the perpetrator is trying to gather usernames and passwords, he or she will have to accept any username or password the users enter. Then every username and password is stored. It can be stored in a flat file, a database, or any medium the perpetrator desires. More crafty identity thieves will also gather the IP address and email from the person visiting their site. The reasoning being that this person was susceptible to phishing once, they may be again. Then since the perpetrator cannot display actual account information the phishing website will instead display a message either thanking the user for confirming their login and/or stating that account information is currently unavailable please try again.
Now the only thing left is for the identity thief to retrieve the information. This is usually a simple matter of logging into that server and copying the information. More skillful identity thieves will do this from a common access location such as an internet café, however there certainly are many cases of an identity thief logging into the phishing server from their own home.
Translation - Chinese
