Hi there,

and thank you for taking the time to look at my profile.

I am professional translator from English and German to Swedish, based in my hometown of Gothenburg, Sweden. The areas I work in vary somewhat, but my main fields of expertise are marketing, retail, web sites, literature and journalism. I also have a lot of experience doing technical translations aimed at a general readership. I strongly believe in creating reader-friendly, idiomatic translations that read like original texts.

I have a Master's degree in Translation Studies from the University of Gothenburg and have two years experience of working as an in-house translator for a large retail company, translating fashion catalogues, print and online marketing material, user manuals and business/legal documents.

Before becoming a full-time translator, I lived for several years in England and Germany. Apart from Translation Studies and Linguistics, I have also studied Literature, Writing and some Accounting.
