Dear All,
I have been a translator and interpreter for now 20 years, and do do quite a bit of medical work, amongst other work.
A colleague advised I should join 'MEDNET' (the Medical group/network) on Proz, to get translation and interpreting work in the medical field (especially interpreting, as there is apparently a lot of demand in interpreting).

Thanks in advance and

No, there is no such forum or translation group on ProZ.com that I know of. It may be a private subforum (only members of a private subforum can see the private subforum), but generally a subforum won't help connect you to clients. There are a few "medical" translator groups (a little-known feature of ProZ.com, with dismally poor UI design), but none of them bigger than 2 or 3 translators. The best thing would be to ask you colleague to send you a link to the group.
Hi Fabienne,
are you sure it is in Proz? They probably meant https://www.itimedical.co.uk/ (MedNet). You don't need to be an ITI member to join the group. The annual fee is very low (£15/year). I am a medical translator too and I have been a member for three years now. I find it very useful, both for terminological help and for information about potential customers. I am a medical translator too and I have been a member for three years now. I find it very useful, both for terminological help and for information about potential customers. They also organise very interesting seminars, mainly in UK, so I would recommend it, if you are based in UK. See you there?
Hope it helps,
Maria Luisa

Maybe it is a Linkedin group. Proz has a platform there too.
On the other hand, you can find Mednet on the internet, see https://www.mednet.nl/
