Paypal conversion rate

Hi,

I've received a payment via paypal in Euro, the Paypal conversion rate into the USD account is lower than any conversion site rate by 30 USD for the amount I want to convert.

Is there any tips to avoid this loss?

I want also to know about Proz.com wallet conversion rates for future online transfers.

I cannot answer your question. But I wish to complement your question with more questions and hope some real knowledgeable experts can enlighten us on the issue of getting paid cross borders of countries and currency blocs.

Does somebody know how PayPal charges customers? It is never transparent to me at all.

Yes, better not use it whenever appropriate since it saves no occasion to charge you.

I also found that 30 Euro where deducted as transfer fees. Too much for one transfer.
I will have to afford it this time, will use it later for small payments only.

I also started to charge several clients on quarterly basis so they can pay by wire transfer and save money.

I still want to know about Proz.com wallet, only USD accepted, or conversion possible if so what are the conversion rates?
And how much customers (payers) are charged bypaypal?
