I have a meadow with two shetland ponies right outside my window. It's priceless, especially with the frost now.
Parrot Spain Local time: 12:40 Spanish to English + ... Other (patio) | Jan 9, 2009 |
I have an inner courtyard view. The patio in Spain is supposed to be the social space - in my case, it certainly is during football matches. Without watching TV, you know who scored a goal exactly when. However, in winter, there's not much to see -- just precious snow when it deigns to fall (as today) and colour everything white. In spring, however, the neighbours (and I) renew our potted plant displays, which leads to some pretty windows in summer...

Well, behind my laptop there is just the wooden wall/ceiling of the room, but from the windows of our house I can see fields and woods and a neigbouring house on two sides. In the summer I can move my laptop outside to the terrace so I don't have to stare at the wall (well I don't do that much anyway).

But from my living room I have a panoramic view of a lake!

I live on the Big Island of Hawaii and the view and sounds and smells out of my vindow are just awesome!
I can see Hualalai volcano all the way to its top, birds of various colors singing by my windows, beautiful Hawaiian flowers smell so sweet, the Pacific Ocean rustles its waves against the lava rocks.
It's very nice and peaceful here.

Taija Hyvönen Finland Local time: 13:40 Member (2008) English to Finnish + ... I envy your views :S | Jan 9, 2009 |
I have to keep the curtains closed, so that birds wouldn't fly to the window. It's not really a shame, because the view of the neighbouring houses wouldn't be much to look at anyway. So I am looking at beautiful little parrots playing, flying around and doing something funny all day

Yesterday it was the other customers in a coffeehouse. Last night it was the view from my living room sofa (i.e., a bookcase and a television). At the moment, if I look out the window, I see grass, trees, buildings.

The moors are an ever changing landscape. The sky is beautiful, too. A lovely Yorkshire view.

I live in a small village at the foot of the highest mountain in Portugal. It's a very pleasant view, specially now that it's snowing and the mountain is covered with white.

boring street view | Jan 9, 2009 |
Just the houses across the street, very boring I'm afraid.
And the view from the room with the other computer is just as bad.
Occasional entertainment is provided by the neighbour's dog.

jacana54 (X) Uruguay English to Spanish + ... Trees, birds, people walking by | Jan 9, 2009 |
My office window looks over other folks' back gardens and the pedestrian paths between them. 4 or 5 meters away is a huge tree so most of the time, when I look up from my computer, I gaze at the swaying branches, the light on the leaves and the birds that stop by. Some of them are bold enough to come to my window sill for a moment.
Those pictures in the other threads are gorgeous!

At home I just see the wall. The window is so small and high I cannot enjoy any view other than the street lights.
In my office I see the wall, but on my right side I have the streets, roofs of the other houses and also a nice panoramic view of some part of Costa Rica's central valley up to the mountains.
