This is my first approach to the forum, I have just read some posts and I found out a fair amount of aggresion. I personally find this site clever, addictive and incredibly useful. I wouldn´t change much of it, it works fine (albeit breakdowns on weekends)

Not for translation jobs although I did get an interpretation assignment here that would pay around 10 years\'s fee for me, if Henry will not jack it up too fast.

Platinum membership used to cost $60, but now it costs $120. Dr. Li apparently got an interpreting assignment that would pay for ten years worth of platinum membership (provided we don\'t raise the rates).
To clarify, ProZ.com does not charge anything on jobs passed.

Nothing is as good as it seems, and nothing is as bad as it can get. ProZ is a fine page, well designed and pretty comprehensive when it comes to a translator´s interests. But, for example... Some of the translations regarding the site are so far from being adequate that I turn to laughter sometimes. The editting system did not work out properly. It should have been necessary for more than one editor and one translator to go through the strings.

As any Internet Page, this page is intended mainly for the owner´s (that would mean you Henry, as far as I know) profit. And so we have \"bullshits\" like \"platinum and premium memberships\". I might be young (26) but not naive.
As for the rest, I consider it a good \"gaming- activity\", a good place for \"getting together\", sharing opinions, learning, etc...
And remember:
Nothing is as good as it seems, and nothing is as bad as it can get.
