AFAIK the real Renaissance Translations is aware of what has been going on. Regarding WeLocalize, I don't know.

I have had to resort to disabling all messaging from my profile. In the past year or so I think I had just one contact that led to anything meaningful.

almost every week arrives alsmot same message Jan 25

saying they found my profile at same translators.pub.com... offering a job from a gmail account.
I always mark this kind of message as phishing even it seems they keep on sending them. I was not aware there is such an structure behind with false or ghosts banks... Is worrying when they arrive to do that.
I suggest everyone to mark as scammers/phishing through the mail server/company and never answer as that probably would lead to more false proposals...
what a "wonderful" net!!

WHY?? Feb 4

Can someone please explain what these scammers are trying to get out of this? It seems strange that they want a free translation. What would they even need it for? It's not like they can resell it to someone. I just don't understand what they stand to get out of this?
