Pl. egy magazin arculata lehet nyugdíjasokat célzó, de a feature témája mindig változik, lehet nyaralás, pénzmegtakarítás, híres személyiség (aki hasonló korú), politika, színházi élmény, rokoni kapcsolatok, lakberendezés, stb. A feature-t a címlapon szokták jelezni - Feature: page 3. Vagy rendszeres, kötött témájú és elnevezésű, pl. "Könnyű Konyha" cikkek, vagy egy újságíró szintén rendszeres, de változatos cikkei, amelyeket egyéni stílus jellemez. A feature editor ezekért felelős, és ha lehet, éppen az a feladata, hogy ezek a cikkek minél változatosabbak legyenek.
