Réactions en Vé

French to English Tech/Engineering Materials (Plastics, Ceramics, etc.) Cahier des charges
Hello,
THis comes from a cahier des charges for plastics injection moulding: not sure about reactions en Vé, all help much appreciated.
Pour éviter le déplacement ou glissement du moule pendant la phase de fermeture ou d’injection, les moules seront réalisés avec des réactions en Vé.
thanks,
Anne

@claude-andrew Yes, V-notching of moulds sounds logical. Maybe the writer meant interaction?
claude-andrew May 16, 2010:
(Discussion continued ...) If this is so, then "V-grooves" or "V-notches" might be suitable.
claude-andrew May 16, 2010:
According to Wikipedia, reaction injection molding refers to a chemical reaction to cause polymerization of a thermosetting polyemer (i.e. a polymer that can't be melted and hence molded by the usual injection molding procedure).
The "reactions en Ve" referred to here surely can't be chemical reactions; I suggest that the mold is immobilised by having a V-shaped groove (presumably underneath) engaging with a suitably profiled 'male' part on the mold support.
NB I'm a chemist but NOT an injection molding specialist.

V-configuration reactions

I assume we are in Reaction Injection Molding (RIM).
V-"shaped" reactions doesn't sound terrible.
Maybe "reaction feeds" is what's meant in your source?
So, V-configuration reaction feeds sounds better.
