Klageerwiderung
This "als darauf einlassungsfähig..." is doing my nut in. I know what they want to say, words to the extent that they aren't going to grace that allegation with a reply, but how to render nicely? Help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

German term (edited):
darauf einlassungsfähig
Selected
in a way amenable to being let in {at the pleadings stage}
Admissible is already in the glossaries. I agree that it is 'darauf einlassungsfähig' and not 'darauf erwidert'.
'Lettable-in'.
Einlassung: §§ 269 VI, 328 I ZPO - 'Die Unzuständigkeit des Gerichts kann nicht mehr geltend gemacht werden und der Kläger kann die Klage nicht mehr ohne Zustimmung des Beklagten zurücknehmen.' cf. exchange of pleadings stage in the UK.
'Otherwise, the submission is also too unsubstantiated to be answered in a way amenable to being let in as a pleading.'
There's also a ProZ discussion somwehere on Einlassung as an appeareance, but I can't re-locate it.

According to Leo, Einlassung also means a defence: so, also, 'dignify with a defensible reply'.

too insubstantiated
In addition, the submissions are too insubstantiated to be countered in an admissible manner.
Mr. Thumb is quite correct - this is just another wording.

...zu unsubstanziiert, als darauf einlassungsfähig erwidert werden könnte = ...too unsubstantiated to merit a considered reply
