Source text - English To a mixture of 7-hydroxy-1-naphthonitrile (26.03 g) and glacial acetic acid (400 mL) was added bromine (51.8 g, 323 mmol). The mixture was stirred at 100°C for 6 hr. Hydrochloric acid (400 mL of 12 N solution) and sodium hydrochloride (69 g) were added and the mixture was stirred at 100°C for 1 hour. The resulting solution was cooled to room temperature and poured into water (1 L). The resulting yellow precipitate was collected by filtration, dried under vacuum, and triturated with ethyl acetate to yield 14.68 g (38 %) of the title compound as a blue solid. An analytical sample was prepared by preparative reverse phase HPLC to yield the title compound as a white solid: mp 222-224°C; 1H NMR:

Source text - English The claims N° 1-100, cannot be patent object because of they are not matter defined in the Article 14 of the Decision Y of Andean Community of Nations; by which they should be eliminated. 5) It is considered that the claim No. 60 (of which the claims 66-69 are depending), is not clear. Said claim defines a solution that contains among other elements, biodegradable granules, however, it is not clearly established that said spheres are prepared by the process described in the claims N° 12-14. In other words, the way in that these groups of claims are edited suggests they don't conform an unique inventive concept.
Translation - Spanish Las reivindicaciones n.

Source text - English When a NOx reduction additive increases coke production, the FCCU may have insufficient air capacity to burn the extra coke. If the additive increases the production of dry gas, the production of more valuable products may decrease. An increase in dry gas may exceed the ability of the unit to handle it, thus forcing a reduction of the amount of feed processed. While additive that increases alkenes production may be desirable if the refinery values these products and the unit has the equipment necessary to process the extra light hydrocarbons, the additive may reduce profitability if the refinery's goal is to maximize gasoline production.

Source text - English Three periods of sedimentary evolution of the Maturin Sub-Basin can be differentiated. The first period corresponds to a passive margin stage during which all the sediments were derived from the South and Southwest. The second stage is characterized by the uplift of present Interior Range and by sedimentation from the North. During this stage, of Early to Middle Miocene age a foreland basin was developed. The third period consists of the infill of the basin by post-tectonic sediments.
The Cretaceous history of the sub-basin is little known due to the slight amount of drilling to these levels. For Northern Monagas, it is believed that the Cretaceous and Paleocene sequence is equivalent to that of the Interior Range. Farther to the south, in Central Monagas, the known Cretaceous facies are more sandy and near-shore (Canoa and Tigre Formations)

Source text - English This inconsistency in production allocation is responsible for the inconsistency in production between the XX and YY fields. One approach would be to adjust the cumulative production in the “libro de reserves”to match that in the new production data. However, this presents a problem because the initial reserves for the XX field are 12.5 MMstb in the "blue book" yet the "correct" cumulative production from this reservoir (according to the latest production data) is 22.8 MMstb, giving “reserves” of -10.3 MMstb for the XX reservoir. This would require allocating reserves in all reservoirs straddling two or more field areas in the “libro de reserves”. The alternative would be to relocate the boundaries between the different field areas (and rename wells accordingly) so that, for example, only XX wells drain XX reservoirs. Both approaches have their problems but the former would be simpler to implement, since it would not require a wholesale renaming of wells.
