Semi-desert and desert biotopes (wormwood-saltwart and ephemeral-grass-forb vegetative formations) are located in the coastal zone with patches. During vernal-winter and autumnal-winter seasons, plovers range at small lawns forming at the above sites after freshets.

: interesting definition for saltwort: bushy plant of Old World salt marshes and sea beaches having prickly leaves; burned to produce a crude soda ash (guess that explains the name in Spanish). http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=saltwort
