Spanish term
soportes
Spanish to English
Tech/Engineering
IT (Information Technology)
this is a spec for an online database-based system. It is not "support", I know that much!
It is one of the features of the system. I am not sure what it means in this contect - it can't be hardware or even hardware or system type, as I can't imagine there are that many around.
The sentence is "• Más de 40.000 soportes".
Sorry, I have no more context, as this is a list of features.
Thanks!

audiovisual items
It seems that this word is more used in Portugese than Spanish.
The first multi-lingual site below gives "contenidos audiovisuales" for the Spanish equivalent.
That is reasonably consistent with various other Web sites that talk for example of:
"El catálogo sectorial de los “recursos electrónicos” (ER) incluye las monografías, la literatura grisa, los bancos de datos, las revistas y los periódicos que en principio Teca del Mediterráneo poseía en formato electrónico (en varios suportes: CDROM, DVDROM, FD, OL, HD, VHS)."
It seems to me that the support media and the items on them are used somewhat interchangeably.

Discussion
I think the language combination is incorrect. It should be Spanish to English right?
