The main difference is that, under these services, the operators offer a much larger amount of sessions, starting every 15 min or 10 min. As such, NVOD services are commonly offered by the operators as “turbo” PPV, either as a step leading or as a defensive maneuver to full VOD when/if available. It is important to reinforce though, that VOD’s main differentiator – a DVD-like viewing experience – is not mimicked.
