computing skills
IMHO, what the author wants to say is that professionals should have computing skills to search for job opportunities.
I know that it should be another question but in my opinion that "apoyan" does not fit in the context. I would say indicate.

Selected
to cope with an (increasingly globalised) working environment
would seem to me to be a natural way to express the idea.

For "apoyan" you could go with "...support the view that technical training in computing/programming is an essential tool for the 21st century..."

to (survive/succeed in/enter) a globalized labor market/of an increasingly globalized labor market
Se me ocurrieron dos opciones:
1. to (survive/succeed in/enter) a globalized labor market
2. where the computing skills of an increasingly globalized labor market require...
