With explanatory covariates, the standard analysis for competing risks data involves modeling the cause-specific hazard functions
via a proportionahl hazards assumption. Unfortunately, the cause-specific hazard function does not have a direct interpretatioin
terms of survival probabilities for the particular failure type.
