Spanish term

expresiones que permite su compromiso

Non-PRO Spanish to English Other International Org/Dev/Coop youth participation

[Both] promotion and participation of youth organised in different organisational structures has been achieved through their integration to **expressions which enable/alow their commitment** in the carrying out of actions and submission of proposals which enable a comprehensive well-being for children in terms of integration and change.

Thanks Kpdinicola for your comments. I'll take them into account!
Karen Dinicola Nov 17, 2014:
Hi, yes, your idea of avoiding redundancy is good. You could take it one step further, though, and express it simply as "various youth organizations." You probably have noticed that Spanish is almost always more wordy than English, so if you are not using fewer words in your translation, you are probably being too literal and will probably end up with some kind of Spanglish. Likewise, to your question, you could say "activities that allow them to undertake," and then mention those activities.
Lydianette Soza (asker) Nov 17, 2014:
Sorry, I meant organised structures and in order to avoid redundancy I could translate it as ... youth grouped in different organised structures...have been achieved.

then:

Both promotion and participation of youth grouped in different organised structures have been achieved through their integration to expressions enabling them to display their commitment in the carrying out of actions and submission of proposals towards a holistic well-being for ....

Suggestions, again.

ways that allow them to express their commitment

Hi Lydianette. This may sound like a simplification of the Spanish, but I think it reads smoother in English, which is why I have said "ways". The whole thing could be something like "[Both] promotion and participation of youth organised in different organisational structures has been achieved by integrating them in ways that allow them to express their commitment to carrying out actions and submitting proposals..." I hope this helps!

agree David Hollywood : didn't see yours and will withdraw mine but would still suggest "activities"
