Discussion

AllegroTrans Jul 17, 2022:
There is ALWAYS a point in asking for extra context where it is patently missing. Four of us made it clear that context was missing in this case but Ruby ignored us.
Adrian MM. Jul 17, 2022:
Doubting Thomases on the Belize grapevine There is no point asking for more context if discusion entrants are non-Honduran and can't grasp the context.
In my days as an architect... ... I often had to answer questions from the contractors about where something was on the drawings, etc. I soon learned to tell them that "if you ask half a question, you get half an answer." No offense, Ruby.
AllegroTrans Jul 12, 2022:
Ruby You are asking us to guess a meaning other than "bag" for "bolsa"
Just on the basis "it is a conversation with government clerks"
You need to tell us MUCH more about what is going on, otherwise all we can suggest is "bag". End of.
Nestor Jerez Jul 12, 2022:
Hmmm... I see now.
philgoddard Jul 12, 2022:
You're not being very forthcoming with context! What is going on here?
Could it be a diplomatic bag, as patinba suggests?
Ruby La Cruz (asker) Jul 12, 2022:
It is about a message that was sent it is a conversation with government clerks
Wilsonn Perez Reyes Jul 12, 2022:
¿Podría ser "droga", si se trata de algo ilegal? No hay nada dentro de lo que pones, Ruby, que indique que no se trate de una "bolsa" simple y sencillamente, es decir "bag"/"purse".
AllegroTrans Jul 12, 2022:
OK So what do you say it is about? You know the story, we don't
Ruby La Cruz (asker) Jul 12, 2022:
Please, look at the conversation for the context It is not about an actual bag/purse

Spanish term (edited): mandarse por la bolsa
Selected

send via the electronic exchange

The message had been sent via an e-portal (stock or employment exchange), rather than by an old bag (likely to be more prevalent in the UK and Austria than in Honduras),
Example sentence:

Cuéntale a tus amigas y amigos sobre HONDURAS: «Empleate», la primera bolsa electrónica de trabajo del país

Peer comment(s):

neutral Wilsonn Perez Reyes : El problema es que se pregunta por el encargado de esa bolsa: "Quien es el encargado de esa bolsa?".
21 mins
no excluye una bolsa electrónica interna para la administración
neutral AllegroTrans : Pure guess based on almost zero context. Waste of time unless Asker will respond properly

Pls. re-read by internal e-exchange example sentence. My Honduran hunch is also confirmed by a colleague on the 'grapevine' at the Bar of E&W from *Belize*. Otherwise, the asker confirms it is neither a bag nor a (diplomatic) pouch.

it was sent by the bag

"bag" as in a bag of official corrrespondence, like a diplomatic bag.

A. Did you send the warning to prevent leaving the country after the hearing that afternoon?
B. It was sent via the bag, it was their fault if they did not post it in time.
A. But if you had posted the notice it/they would not have left the country.
B. Is what I have done and what I always did illegal? Who is responsible for the bag?
