a tu w odniesieniu nie tyle do administracji co do problemów z komputerami ;))
rain dance
:rain dance: n. 1. Any ceremonial action taken to correct a hardware problem, with the expectation that nothing will be accomplished. This especially applies to reseating printed circuit boards, reconnecting cables, etc. \"I can\'t boot up the machine. We\'ll have to wait for Greg to do his rain dance.\" 2. Any arcane sequence of actions performed with computers or software in order to achieve some goal; the term is usually restricted to rituals that include both an incantation or two and physical activity or motion. Compare magic, voodoo programming, black art , cargo cult programming, wave a dead chicken.

Medion should be ashamed of themselves for prescribing a rain dance to hash over a known fault.

Indian tribe bill power company for rain dancing
An Indian tribe is claiming payment from a hydro-power company for rain dancing.
The Yakama Indian Nation performed two rain ceremonies before charging a federal agency for its work.
But the Bonneville Power Administration which operates 29 hydroelectric dams has refused to pay the Ł22,500 bill.
The Indians say they should be paid for their work in Washington State because official statistics show it has rained more since their dancing.

do MrMarDar - przeczytaj kontekst: \"komentatorzy NIE wierzą\", więc potrzebne jest jest wyrażenie mówiące o braku skuteczności metody, nawet lekko ironiczne. Natomiast Twoja propozycja potwierdza skuteczność metody: ”a person whose influence can initiate progress or ensure success\", „an executive who is very successful\".
