Passive Please check what is seen in the title:
وقد خطب في بلاده ثم ترك وأعاد الخطبة
Since we don't have the whole context, the only way to know if a standard third person singular verb is passive is from the marks and there was none.

فعل خطب هو في صيغة المبني للمجهول و له دلالة تتجاوز مجرد الخطبة
هذه الجملة مأخوذة من كتاب البداية و النهاية أين العربية المستعملة صعبة المعنى في كثير من الأحيان
