Is this a "Court of First Instance", a "Municipal Court", a "Magistrates Court" or a "Primary Court"? I am trying to move from the original Arabic (French legal system) to US English (American legal system).

: المحكمة الابتدائية According to the Egyptian Legal System is a Trial Court with complicated meaning as it is a court of first instance in general which has the same jurisdiction such as a Municipal Court. It should be translated according to the context

Discussion
It is considered that court which has the general jurisdiction to decide the civil and commercial disputes as a court of first instance. But in some cases it deal with the judgement issued from district courts as appellate court.
Regarding geographical jurisdiction, it considered a municipal court whereas these courts established in the capital of each governorate in Egypt.
The correct translation from Arabic into English should be The Court of First Instance if it deals with the disputes as a first court.
