FVA Not for points English to French Bus/Financial Management

Problème fondamental de traduction dans un chapitre d'un livre en management: l'auteur raconte comment il s'est inspiré de Jack Welch et de ses "stretch goals" (traduits "objectifs ambitieux" dans un autre livre).
Seulement, il ne cite jamais l'expression "stretch goals", préférant innover en déclinant le concept:

- "the management decided to embark on a radical new
approach – the Stretch-out Programme, which I came across during one of my official travels abroad"
> Pas de problème dans la mesure où j'ai ici pour consigne de laisser le nom du programme en anglais. Par contre:

- "I was amazed by Welch’s stretching concept"
> Le concept d'"objectif ambitieux"?
> Le concept "ayant pour but de se définir des objectifs ambitieux"?
> Le concept de "dépassement (de soi)"?
> Le concept de "déploiement"?
> Le concept d'"effort maximal"?
Il est clair que stretching reste à proscrire en français...

De plus:
- "Reading Jack Welch convinced me that it was time to throw caution to the wind and embrace the stretch-out concept."

- "I was not sure that my colleagues would willingly abandon this safe world [...] in favour of the risks and uncertainties of stretching into the unknown."
