Definition from
Novell Glossary of terms:
A link-control or network-control packet used for establishing encapsulation format options, size limits of packets, link setup, peer authentication, or network layer protocol management.
Example sentences:
Egress firewall filters affect the flow of data packets that are transmitted from the switch's interfaces but do not affect the flow of locally generated control packets from the Routing Engine. (Juniper Network)
This one-period delay is further guaranteed by well designed compensation for control packet dropout. (Queensland University of Technology)
The performance of MDSR has been compared with that of the basic DSR for different network densities and for different mobility of nodes. Simulation results show that MDSR gives fewer control packets, less latency and a higher packet delivery ratio than DSR. (Wiley InterScience)

Note from asker:
Se me ocurre que te puede funcionar en este contexto "adequate hair growth" |
What is the context, other than ¨medical report¨? |
If you want to put that as an answer, Hernan, I'll agree with it. It means "presence" rather than "implantation". |
Hi, mailenhbf. As Liz Askew said: we need more information. Also, in reference to other's suggested translation is adequate, it is a common mistake in ES-EN translation and viveversa: adecuado in Spanish does not mean adequate (sufficient or acceptable in some contexts) in most cases, but appropriate, like in this case. |
Hi guys! I don't have more context. It is just a medical report and that's all that it says about the patient's head. But I agree with you all it must be making reference to the growth of his hair rather than implantation. Thank you all! |
You mentioned '...as the patient did not have a capillary transplant'. Do you actually know this, or is it just a guess? Young people, and children, can also lose their hair: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3999647/#:~:text=Common%20causes%20of%20hair%20loss%20in%20children%20%5B3%2C4%5D,alopecia%2C%20trichotillomania%2C%20alopecia%20areata. "Common causes of hair loss in children [3,4] include telogen effluvium, tinea capitis, bacterial infections, traction alopecia, trichotillomania, alopecia areata. In addition to the previous, other less common causes of hair loss can be seen including [5] thyroid disorders, illnesses, such as systemic lupus erythematosus, diabetes mellitus, or iron deficiency anemia, malnutrition, structural abnormalities of the hair shaft that usually results in easy breakage and dry brittle hair." |
What is the patient's complaint/illness? It's not just a medical report; I'm sure they have an illness or are being released from hospital after treatment - so what was the disease/treatment? |
From what I can assume as his illness/condition is not specifically mentioned, he had abdominal pain due to distension of bowel loops. |
Although it's probably a bit late now, according to a previous question, and good explanation by Charles Davies, this is about how well-rooted the hair is in the scalp: <b>"implantación" refers to a parameter that doesn't seem to be routinely included in guides or manuals on physical examination of the head and hair in English, but is at least sometimes included in Latin America particularly. English guides tend to mention quantity, distribution and texture, but "implantación" is none of these. <b/> https://www.proz.com/kudoz/spanish-to-english/medical-general/6610346-cabello-de-buena-implantaci%C3%B3n.html |
And a possible connection between that and the intestinal problem is covered here, testing for a hair-eating disorder: Tricobezoar en una adolescente, informe de un caso "adecuada implantación de cabello sin zonas alopécicas" https://www.medigraphic.com/pdfs/bolclinhosinfson/bis-2020/bis202k.pdf |
