Report of asbestos inspection
Surveyor's report on search for asbestos in old building:
"Parois verticales intérieurs et enduits:
Murs: Flocage, projections et enduits, revêtements durs des murs (plaques menuiserie, amiante ciment, fibre)".
Is this stuff called "flock", "flocking" or "foam filling", perhaps?
Thanks in advance for help.

spray coating
I understand 'flocage' to refer to what you can see in the top-most photo here:
http://www.coresurveys.co.uk/pictures-of-asbestos-types.asp
where they call it 'spray coating'.
But I then wonder what 'projection' is, later in your source text ...

Comment: "Thank you, Mediamatrix. I think the "projections" were bits of the building that projected and might have contained asbestos."

whatever
From my notes:
Flock spraying, flocking, sprayed mineral insulation, firespray [Scott], spray-applied fire protection [NCEI,08.05,p.18]
Presumably "projection" applies to spray application of other materials than (asbestos) fire insulation, plaster for instance, as opposed to "enduit" which is "plaster" made from non-plaster materials!

Note from asker:
Thank you, Bourth. (I somehow didn't feel that "whatever" quite hit the spot here. |
