a quick question about the following sentence from a cartoon about glider clubs:

全力で戦ってもらわんと張り合われへんしな

Does this mean that if they don't fight with all their strenght...

1) There won't be competition (they will be easily defeated).
2) It won't be fun.

Which one is correct?
