Russian term

мыслекричит

Russian to English Art/Literary Poetry & Literature science fiction
I am translating a science fiction story. It's a made-up verb that doesn't exist in Russian.

Андре в сердцах мыслекричит:

I would appreciate any advice.

Thanks in advance!

@asker We have no terms to describe the not-yet-invented proper telepathic communication. The author invented them in Russian. It is up to you to invent them in English, explain them in a translator’s note and use them throughout.
Is it a scream or an exclamation? Кричать may mean several different things in Russian, from just raising one’s voice to be heard better in a loud environment to screaming from pain. I am not sure without the context. Thank you.

mental shout / mental scream

hard to come up with a verb though
Peer comment(s):

agree David Knowles : but if you recast the sentence, you can have "a mental cry from the heart" (though why сердцах is plural I don't know). Thanks for the clarification! In that case, "mental scream" sounds best.

Thank you, David! в сердцах is an idiom, means that something was said overly emotional, in a fit of temper
agree JJ Shaw : You could use the verbs "let out/emit/produce"

mindscream

Creating new verbs is a common thing among Russian speculative fiction authors. I particularly have fun with it, and I think "mindscream" sounds as interesting as "мыслекрик".
