How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

I think that I've experienced this problem. When I was grinding through the immigration process here in Spain, an unhelpful civil servant would often airily state that a certain document "faltaba". This would infuriate me, as I had never been advised that I would need it, it appeared in no list of required documents and I could never have known that I needed to produce it. It was another way of saying that I needed it, but the particular word "faltaba" enraged me because it seemed to imply that I had not complied and I had, in fact, done everything in my power to comply. So... normally it would be a question of something lacking but I'm now accostumed to the idea that it can simply signify something I need. I don't know if this is what you are looking for. I hope it helps.
