My best year to date has been 2011, but that was due to a few flukes. I had a large amount of work from quick payers at the beginning of 2011 combined with some late payers from 2010 finally paying up. I still have high hopes that 2012 will be even better yet as I have been working to broaden my client base. | | | neilmac Spain Local time: 07:25 Spanish to English + ... Last year was good, but as long as I stay afloat and without debts I don't count these things. I am more likely to remember a bad year than a good one... | | | Anthony Baldwin United States Local time: 01:25 Portuguese to English + ...

Things have never quite recovered since, at least, not to the level they were at in 2007. They've definitely improved since 2009, all the same. | | | Thayenga Germany Local time: 07:25 Member (2009) English to German + ... It's still too early to tell. | Mar 3, 2012 |
2011 was good. If 2012 continues the way it started, then this year is bound to be the best.![](/images/bb/smiles/icon_smile.gif) And yes, it's just a Poll.![](/images/bb/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif) | |

was best in my case, too. With the trend of ongoing world financial turmoils and in the situation where JPY has been historically ever strongest against USD and EUR, while I'm mostly working with agencies in these currencies, my income in 2011 is almost reduced to less than half its peak in 2007. That is almost the lowest line to get along here in Japan. I'm surviving!!

That was really a great year for me, I've completed 3 giant projects (~600,000 words in total) as well as other small and mid-sized projects. Also the clients were great with their timely payments. I hope 2012 would be the same. Good luck to everyone in 2012! | | | Pages in topic: < [1 2] | To report site rules violations or get help, contact a site moderator: You can also contact site staff by submitting a support request » Poll: Which has been your best year income-wise so far ?
