TBU_dk . Everybody hates this tool, so it matters less what we think of it, because we simply cannot get any of our suppliers to work in this tool.
Also, it is really not fun to work with. Only supported on Windows and nothing is cloud based or automated. Interface is grossly outdated and usability is hopeless.

How easy is it to learn?
Awful tool, dreadfully inefficient
Review by
mclavallee . After working for 4 years now with memoQ pretty much every day, having to work with Translation Workspace now is just plain torture. I feel like I was thrown back in time to 20 years ago, just a couple of steps above using pen and paper. The software has so little functionality it's just plain laughable. No predictive typing, no easy (keyboard shortcut) way to insert terminology or concordance matches in translation segments, no possibility of adding your own termbase to the project, no filters, no possibility to create views to work on many documents as one, the list goes on and on. On top of that, it has very odd quirks that are causing me some serious problems. For one, it does not seem to be able to distinguish between different acronyms! So, for example: "I really love the brand ABC" will come up as a 100% match (green) to "I really love the brand XYZ"! Working on a project riddled with acronyms right now and really looking forward to being done with it. Never working again with TW if I can help it. This tool in no way compares with truly powerful and feature-rich CAT tools such as Trados Studio or memoQ, not by a long shot.

How easy is it to learn?
The most complicated imaginable
Review by
Angelina Galanska . This tool is extremely complicated to learn and offers no help in terms of productivity. If anything, it makes me work way slower. Everything about it is extremely convoluted, hard to understand. It is very similar to Visual Studio. Unless you are some sort of PC geek and have some sort of programming background, I can even imagine this tool being impossible to learn by a regular translator. I have worked on many projects with it, and honestly, I just want to cry when I have to deal with the software...

How easy is it to learn?
This tool makes my work faster, and I don't need to buy expensive software if a tool like this allows me to do the job perfectly.
Review by
Lourdes ZalcikI like the way this tool works with Microsoft Office Word. It makes my work a lost faster and precise. The only warning I would give is to get the right plan because if you pick the $14 plan and then you exceed the word limit, the bill can go very high.
