* What to include, what to avoid
* Practical tips to maximise the benefit
* Prices and references: a must or a should?
* CVs review: live comments on participants' CVs & customised advice

- PART 2: Cover letters
* DOs and DON'Ts of cover letters
* What to include, what to avoid
* Practical tips to maximise engagement
* Interactive exercise: Bidding on a job offer

Participants can submit a cover letter and get live comments and customised advice on how to communicate their value when bidding on a job offer. Please don't forget to send your exercise & résumé to [email protected] no later than Feb 6th

EXERCISE:
Dear linguists, we have a 1,500 words document to be translated from X (your source language) to Y (your target language) by Monday morning. The document is about XXX (your specialty field). Please e-mail to XXXXXXX with your contact details, most competitive price and CV. Thank you.

If you're planning to participate in the cover letter exercise, please send your sample to [email protected] no later than Feb 6th.
Please note that the exercise is designed to reflect the style and tone of a typical job offer - for the purpose of the exercise, please assume all the details of the job offer (source/target language, specialty field, delivery deadline) match your skills and schedule.

Please find below the sample job offer:

Time restrictions
Our time will be limited, so it will not probably be possible to cover all of your CVs and all of your samples during the live session.
However, all participants will receive customised feedback & advice on their material - either during the session or privately via e-mail afterwards.
