Translation - English C.C. Banco has been the first savings bank in Spain to opt for the new free market, awarding 100% of its branch network to V. Energía.
Soon after complete market liberalization, on January 1, 2003, V. Energía has been awarded supply of all 162 branches owned by C.C. Banco, and spread mainly over the autonomous region of Cantabria. Now that all electricity consumers can hire with commercialization companies by free pricing standards, V. Energía offers C.C. Banco a customised service, with offers tailored to specific needs.
As leading institution in its geographic market, Caja Cantabria has achieved better price and service conditions in its expansion process along the main Spanish capital cities, thanks to the new contract signed with V. Energía.
This contract is the result of one of V. Energía’s main strategies, which consists of making every effort to offer the best possible prices to Cantabrian companies who have low-voltage supply requirements and who wish to opt for the free market.
Both companies consider this agreement a first step in the development of further closer collaborative efforts aimed to optimize synergies in the commercial and financial fields, so as to allow their customers to benefit from better prices and services. In this way, not only the creation of new opportunities for both companies is sought, but it will have a beneficial impact on both entity’s customers. C.C. Banco has taken advantage from free market and other companies might do as well.

Experience
Years of experience: 22. Registered at ProZ.com: Apr 2005.
My first English to Spanish translation work were some chapters of a sociology book. After that I translated scripts for cinema festivals in Montevideo and Buenos Aires. Then I was hired to translate financial and commercial documents for business firms and big corporations (also in the area of tourism). Most recently -and contemporary to the latter-, I did medical translations (pharmaceutical research papers, ICFs). I have also done proofreading work in some of these areas.
I can say I really enjoy doing translation work: the understanding of the source text, the research involved in finding the right word or expression, the actual writing down of the target sentences. As much as this I am a frequent online reader of journalism, articles and investigative papers in most any field of scientifical research.
