Source text - English Tzi Kang Peng Conventional Mechanical Therapy.
Routine local anesthesia was used during treatment. The first incision was an internal gingivectomy, directed to the bony ridge, which separates the periimplant tissue from the mucosal flap. The flap was then raised to the level of the bony ridge gaining access to the entire implant surface. The granulation tissue around the implant was carefully removed with sharp curettes and the implant surface was inspected for calculus deposits.
The clone used was PDGF 88. The kit used is a recommended detection system Link-
Label staining system (BioGenex) for rat species. This monoclonal antibody was designed for the specific localization of PDGF-B in formalin—fixed paraffin—embedded tissue sections. The slides were counterstained with Mayer’s hematoxylin. In general, the demonstration of antigens by immunohistochemistry was a 2-step process involving first, the binding of a primary antibody to the antigen of interest, and second, the detection of
bound antibody by a chromogen.

The Er:YAG laser can perform incisions for flap lifting, such as a crestal incision, or an intrasulcular or vertical release incision. The laser produces a wet incision (some bleeding) as opposed to the dry incision (no bleeding) that is produced by the CO2 laser9-13
