Dutch to English: The Secret of the Cheese General field: Art/Literary Detailed field: Social Science, Sociology, Ethics, etc.
Beloofd is beloofd!
Translation - English Pirmin opened the door with a large iron key, lifted a beautiful round cheese out of the car and descended the stairs of the Cheese Cathedral. In the center of the room below was a large pedestal. Delicately he placed the cheese on the pedestal. Caressing the cheese, Pirmin muttered
contentedly to himself: “You look just fine. Take your time ripening. I'll cherish you and tend to you for as long as it takes.” Then he trod slowly back up the stairs, closed the door carefully and headed home.
