sul prodotto che sta acquistando
per facilitarne la scelta ed assecondarne
le esigenze. Per uniformità, nell'ambito dei
Paesi dell' Unione Europea, l'etichettatura, la presentazione
e la pubblicità dei prodotti alimentari
tende ad essere similare. L'etichettatura è il complesso
delle indicazioni riportate non solo sull'etichetta
apposta sul prodotto, ma anche sull'imballaggio o sul
dispositivo di chiusura.
Essa non deve: indurre in errore l'acquirente sulle
diverse qualità del prodotto e sul suo luogo di origine;
evidenziare caratteristiche come particolari rispetto
alla medesima categoria; attribuire all'alimento né proprietà
terapeutiche nè farmacologiche. Ciò al fine di
evitare forme di pubblicità ingannevoli, aggiungendo in
etichetta delle aggettivazioni indebite come “genuino“
per un formaggio, “naturale“ per un miele, facendo
intendere che sia lecito produrre e ritrovare sul mercato
tipologie “adulterate“ o “artificiali“, etc.
Translation - Italian Labelling makes information about a product available for consumers in order to enable them to get comprehensive and informed choices. In European countries labelling generally trends to be similar in products presentation and advertising. It is the whole of information written not only on the label, but also on the packaging or on the closing device.
Labelling must not deceive consumers about the different aspects of foodstuffs or about their place of origin; it must not highlight some characteristics rather then the others of products belonging to the same category; it must not assign therapeutic or pharmacological properties to any food. All this in order to avoid any kind of deceptive advertising that, adding on labels some adjectives like “genuine” for cheese, “natural” for honey, makes people think it is allowed to produce or to find on sale “adulterated” or “impure” goods, and so on.
