I am an architect with experience in leading architectural offices in the US and Germany, as well as a professor of architecture, now taking time off to finish a doctorate. I have published several of my own articles in the history of architecture and urban design as well as translations of others' articles.

I have a parallel career in translation, 25 years, ranging from texts in design, construction, sustainable energy, and planning, to engineering, business, finance, and tourism.

I have worked with such major architectural publishers as Birkhäuser Verlag, and translated the writing of well-known architects such as Rob Krier. My work has appeared in journals such as Diadalos, Assemblage, and Bauwelt. For the city of Berlin and the federal governments of the US and Germany, I translated primary documents used by the entrants in five government-sponsored international planning competitions for capital infrastructure, as well as the city of Berlin's own marketing website.

My skills as a researcher and my love of language ensure that my translations are precise and coherent.

I work with Macintosh Word software, Excel, and Powerpoint, among others. For personal reasons, I am not interested in translations directly or indirectly related to businesses or institutions involved in military or defense industries.
