Any potential fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, image manipulation, unethical research, and authorship should be under review by academic journals or publishers. Editors suspected allegation of such misconduct may review internal regulations and communicate their findings to related organizations. Suspected misconduct is handled under procedures described in the policy. Such misconducts should be dealt with as soon as possible so that it can be taken into action. Allegations with specific and detailed evidence raised by anonymous tips or insiders should be investigated immediately.

When gathering research data in the form of images, it is possible the result of image manipulation may not be the same. Inappropriate image manipulation can be identified as misconduct by academic journals. Of course, a certain degree of image processing can be legitimately allowed. For example, simple image enhancements in order to verify specific features of artworks. Academic journals must provide researchers a set of guidelines regarding the image processing.
[Plagiarism]
Academic journals must provide researchers the definition and guidelines for plagiarism. In principle, infringing on a copyright held by the other researchers, or improper use or copying without quotation marks are categorized as plagiarism. Editors should prepare "Guidelines for Authors” that informs researchers of how they will screen submitted manuscripts and instructions to avoid plagiarism.

Source text - English Whiteness and Objecthood in Absalon’s Cells
Between 1987 and 1993, Absalon created a body of work that formulates a sustained proposition of white objects composed to form white rooms which he called Cells. These Cells are specifically designed to suit the proportions of a single artist inhabitant. A number of issues arise from this proposition with regard to Absalon’s use of the object and how it makes meaning. In order to expose and then respond to these issues this essay will be formulated through a classic Hegelian dialectical model. This model is chosen for its appropriateness, its shape will develop through contrasting dynamics: From white, to black to grey. The thesis will describe the Cells’ whiteness, purity, geometry and formal efficiency. The resulting formulation suggests an idealised futuristic space capsule, or the confines of religious asceticism.

Source text - Korean 최근 일민미술관에서 개최한 개인전에서 사진가 이득영은 기존 한강 프로젝트의 새로운 버전을 발표했다. 서울에서 나고 자란 이득영은 대부분 이주민 출신으로 구성된 1천만명 이상의 서울 인구 중 많지 않은 서울토박이다. 북쪽으로 펼쳐진 산봉우리들이 요새역할을 하고, 남쪽에 넓게 퍼진 한강이 젖줄 역할을 해온 서울은 선사시대부터 터를 잡고 문명을 발전시킨 장소며, 오랜 기간 한반도에서 도읍으로 존재해온 도시다. 또한 수천년간 이어오던 도시의 면적을 반세기만에 두 배로 확장시킨 압축성장의 현대사를 관통해온 도시이기도 하다. 그의 사진이 수시로 담아낸 한강은 서울의 중심을 관통하는 강으로, 남한에서 가장 큰 강이다. 그것은 하나의 피사체이기도 하고, 서울이라는 공간의 맥락을 형성하는 관념의 매개체이기도 하다.
Translation - English In his recent solo exhibition at Ilmin Museum of Art, the photographer Lee Duegyoung presented a new version of his Hangang project. Lee is one of the few who was born and raised in Seoul, the city with a population of more than 10 million but many of those were from another part of the country. Settlement began in the prehistoric times, Seoul has been the capital of Korea since the Joseon Dynasty. Its geographic characteristics allowed the civilisation to flourish, tall mountains in North as natural fortress and a wide river Hangang as a lifeline. The city has been through rapid modernisation and doubled in its size in the past 50 years. The Hangang, often photographed by Lee, runs straight through the heart of Seoul and it is the largest river of all in South Korea. The Hangang is the subject to be photographed as it is the medium that contextualises Seoul.
