Mi nombre completo es Andrés Julián Espiñeira Meister, oriundo de Ciudad Evita, Gran Buenos Aires, Argentina. Mi padre es argentino y mi madre es austríaca, lo cual inevitablemente trajo a mi hogar un contexto multicultural y la presencia de distintos idiomas. Ya en ese entonces nació mi interés por este mundo de sutiles diferencias en el que convivimos los traductores e intérpretes. Afortunadamente, a ese cóctel de español y alemán se le sumó muy tempranamente el inglés, el cual empecé a estudiar a los cinco años. Esto me permitió, ya en edad de secundaria, rendir y aprobar distintos exámenes de Cambridge, tales como el First Certificate, el Advanced Certificate y distintos IGCSE. Se podría decir que, desde ese entonces, el inglés es una parte fundamental de mi vida.

Comencé mi carrera a principios de 2005, cuando iniciaron mis estudios de traductorado público en la Universidad Católica Argentina de la Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires, Argentina, y de interpretación de conferencias en el Estudio Lucille Barnes de dicha ciudad. Dichos estudios me produjeron, como le sucede a muchos traductores públicos, un gran interés por el derecho. Es por eso que, en 2009, comencé a estudiar abogacía en la Universidad Nacional de La Matanza, situada en San Justo, Partido de La Matanza, Provincia de Buenos Aires. Así, en 2014 logré recibirme de abogado. De allí que la especialización en todo lo perteneciente al ámbito jurídico haya surgido de forma natural en mi persona.

Afortunadamente, mi facilidad con los idiomas me ha permitido viajar por el mundo y explorar distintas culturas. Es mi opinión que el salir al mundo y enfrentarse a distintos tipos de personas, costumbres y situaciones es la mejor universidad que existe. El haber atravesado Europa de España a Finlandia, visitado las grandes ciudades australianas, recorrido la ruta de Miami a Chicago (con un poco de la legendaria ruta 66) o viajado a través de la selva colombiana para llegar de Maracaibo a Cartagena de Indias son hitos de mi vida que, sin dudas, me han hecho crecer y fortalecer. Es uno de mis mayores deseos poder extender estos viajes a Asia y África en el futuro cercano. Si eso implica aprender algún idioma exótico, mejor aún.

My complete name is Andrés Julián Espiñeira Meister and I am a native of Ciudad Evita, Gran Buenos Aires, Argentina. My father is Argentinean and my mother is Austrian, which inevitably brought to my home a multicultural context and the presence of discrete languages. As of that moment, I became interested in this world of subtle differences in which we cohabit as translators and interpreters. Fortunately, English was added to that cocktail of Spanish and German soon enough, and I started studying it at age five. This allowed me, already in high school, to sit for and pass different Cambridge exams, such as First Certificate, Advanced Certificate and several IGCSE. It could be said that, ever since that moment, English is a vital part of my life.

My career began in early 2005, when I started studying sworn translation at Universidad Católica Argentina of the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina, and conference interpreting at Estudio Lucille Barnes of that same city. Said studies produced in me, as happens with many sworn translators, a great interest in law. For that reason, in 2009, I started studying law at Universidad Nacional de La Matanza, located at San Justo, Partido de La Matanza (La Matanza District), Provincia de Buenos Aires (Buenos Aires Province). So, in 2014 I finally managed to become a lawyer. All this brought about that specializing in everything regarding law happened so naturally to me.

Luckily, my ability with languages has allowed me to travel a great deal and to explore distinct cultures. It is my opinion that the best university is to just get out into the world and face different types of people, customs and situations. Crossing Europe from Spain to Finland, visiting the great Australian cities, driving across the route from Miami to Chicago (with just a touch of the legendary route 66) and going through the Colombian jungle to go from Maracaibo to Cartagena de Indias are milestones of my life which, without a doubt, have made me grow in every way. It is one of my greatest wishes to be able to expand those travels to Asia and Africa in the near future. If that implies learning some exotic language, so much the better.

With this simple personal introduction I bring you an invitation to get in touch not only to work together but also to share visions, ideas and experiences.
