Source text - English What is the primary goal of treating acute ischemic stroke?
The primary goal in treating acute ischemic stroke is to restore blood flow to the parts of the brain that have been affected. Several different methods can be used. A “clot-busting” medication can be injected into the patient’s blood in an attempt to dissolve the clot. This needs to be performed within the first few hours from when the stroke occurred and not all patients are eligible for this treatment. Sometimes the clot will dissolve. In strokes that involve a larger clot in a large vessel of the brain, this medication may not be enough to remove the blockage and blood flow would not be restored.
Surgical removal of the clot
If the blockage is a large clot, or if the patient is not a candidate for the “clot-busting” medication, the patient may be a candidate for surgical removal of the clot. In this type of procedure, the physician uses tiny wires, tubes and other medical devices to try to remove the blood clot. These tiny devices are delivered into the patient’s blood vessels through a small hole made in the femoral artery (located in the upper leg). During the procedure, the physician uses X-ray technology to visualize the blocked blood vessel(s) and deliver the devices.
When the devices reach the area of blockage, the physician attempts to capture and remove the clot from the body and restore blood flow to the brain. There are various devices that can be used to remove the clot. Talk to your treating doctor if you have questions about the types of devices used.

Translation - English (I) Regarding the issuance of certificate as a result of bribery
1. According to the provisions of the “Law of the People's Republic of China on Administrative Penalties” and “Law of the People's Republic of China on Administrative Proceedings”, the burden of proving the accusation that Mr XXX had conducted bribery to procure the issuance of a certificate lies with the prosecuting administrative organ. The administrative organ unilaterally relies on Appendix (5) but Appendix (5) by itself is not sufficient proof to the accusation that the issuance of certificate had been the result of an act of bribery. Appendix (5) can only be taken as the contents of the prosecutor's accusation. Such contents of accusation must be proved by relevant evidence; otherwise, the accusation will lead to an administrative arbitrariness. In addition, Appendix (5), Appendix (4) and Appendix (3) do not conform to the document formalities of Administrative Penalties of revoking a certificate as required under the law of the People's Republic of China. Therefore, they do not constitute as proof that the Administrative Penalty of revocation of certificate has taken place.

I started translation and interpretation work in 2005 in Sydney. But I heavily involved in translation and interpretation jobs since 2010 when I returned to Hong Kong. My main area of translation and interpretation is in medical, legal and commercial documents. My language pairs are: English > Chinese (both traditional Chinese and simplified Chinese) and vice versa.
I have been working with a legal transcription company and other legal agencies for legal translations since 2010 for court transcripts (some couple thousand to over ten thousand words per case), and legal contracts and documents. I also attend contract disputes in the tribunals and The Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC) as an interpreter for witnesses.
I have been working with pharmaceutical translation agencies for a couple of years for medical translations and editing. The jobs are mainly for patients’ informed consents for testing drugs, instructions for medical devices and medical consumer products. Each document is about five hundred to a couple of thousand words.
I have been working with a few financial and banking agencies for financial bulletins and marketing material.
I have been working with a few movies subtitling agencies for movies subtitling.
I have been working with customers for consecutive interpretations and accompanying customers on business trips and trade shows. I also work as a consecutive and simultaneous interpreter for a couple of business conventions.
