Atte.

A multiplanar MRI scan was carried out on the right leg with T1 and T2 weightings.
The scan results indicate:
An area of diffuse hyperintensity at the distal third of the external calf muscle. The normal fibrillar architecture shows distortions that are consistent with a grade 1 fibrillar tear, corresponding to the physical examination.
An increase in density of the subcutaneous cellular tissue and mild signs of edema are observed adjacent to the area described.
The remaining muscular planes evaluated are intact.
Signal intensity of bone-marrow is normal.

Test: MUSCULAR ULTRASOUND
Date: Monday, August 15, XXX
Ultrasound scan of the posterior region of the right leg using a high frequency linear transducer.
In the dense subcutaneous cellular tissue, an area with heterogenous anechoic content measuring 8 x 3 mm is observed at the site indicated as painful by the patient, which is consistent with an evolving hematic process.
On the muscular plane, an ill-defined hypoechogenic area measuring approximately 9 x 7 mm is observed at the distal third of the soleus muscle, erasing the normal muscular architecture. These characteristics are consistent with a grade 1 fibrillar rupture caused by muscular contusion.
The remaining muscular planes evaluated are intact.
